Kissed by fire

Since I can remember people stop and stare.

They see the bright red hue,

the curly locks,

the thick and untamed hair.

People compliment it and admire it,

and even sometimes touch it.

But others taunt and tease.

They poke fun at me.

They say I am a leprechaun, and so be it,

but I'm the one getting the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
