On the Kitchen Table

Kings and queens

Glaring at each other

Wars through stacks

The expenses of their empires

Of white paper.

Disrupting their worlds

By fanning them through my fingertips,

Making new alliances on the kitchen table.

A master of creation or the hands of fate

Are my scarred hands with ripped nails

On the kitchen table.
