Kneel Before The King

The King is just, the King is wise

But the King does not refrain from lies.

The King is true, the King is fair,

Purely based on what you wear.

Dear Beloved, watch your steps

watch the departure, mind the mess.

Dear Beloved, watch your path,

seek only what does not bring you back.

Dear Beloved, love the King

but more than praise shall you sing.

Dear Beloved, trust the Kingdom

don't close your eyes, fear even to blink them.

Dear Beloved, watch your clothes

For your King seems to fear those

Who dare to wear the color red

Because they choose to kneel instead

Of love the King and all his glory,

Yet the King knows not the entire story.

Those who wear the color red

Only chose to kneel instead

Of stand for the King they love

Because they see where they're from.

Dear Beloved, Do not wear the color red

Wear blue or white or green instead

For though all colors are the fair and equal

The King sees red as vicious and evil

Dear Beloved, Love the King

But more than praises shall you sing

Dear Beloved, watch your path

Always watch the aftermath,

For the King is just, the King is wise

But for those who kneel, he does despise.

The King is a metaphor for the country and the color red represents melanin. I wrote this as a testament to all protests to racial discrimination in the country and how the country seems to respond to it.
