The Knife


I’m waiting for one last sunrise Before I create my own demise, I brought a knife along And, I know it’s wrong But as I glance down at my hands scarred with endless years of pain I find myself wishing for that last sunrise to take away my shame I see all the notes I wrote, as The knife nears my rope burned throat I feel its for the best given how nothing in my life has ever seemed to work And shadows lurk No more thoughts as I sink the knife deep into my flesh One last sunrise, And no more pain, lies, anger The calmness of silence As I take my last breath I waited for one last sunrise then, I ensured my own demise…
