Knight in a Different Armor

At times this sentiment is overwhelming. Its rapidness rushing, pumping through this organ whose beats can not keep up. It begins to leak salty tears through the windows of my soul, Slipping down the slopes of my cheeks. Just as a flower without its nourishment and light I, too, slowly wilt. My nourishment is your love and passion My light is the sound of your voice and laughter. I beg you with all sincerity do not let me wilt I have become dependent on your nourishment and light. Envelop me with these just as my love encircles all of you, making its home in your heart. This fervor is with grand intensity So much I have to give, it is almost unbearable! But now we've been brought back to Earth's reality. You have slowly built a strange barrier. It wasn't there the first year we spent our lives together on the moon. That was when our love dripped sweet and slow as honey. You wear an armor, enclosing the hurt. Love! Do not forget your wounds are mine I can feel them past the sturdy metal. This love, so strong for you, yearns to seep through the slim cracks of your armor But I'll let you be; you are still my knight either way. I await the day you completely allow me to relieve you of all the cold metal from your flesh. Even if this sentiment is at times overwhelming, My faith and hope allows me to stand on the highest rock with you, my love My knight in a different armor.
