Knight by Night
Secrets fold in the flesh of my heart,
My spirit dwindles, its light fading.
The darkness consumes me,
Practically swallowing me whole.
Their nails dig in my skin and I bleed black.
Their palms cover my face and it burns
Like acid on human flesh.
My strength faded and my faith dwindled,
But there reached a pure bright hand and rendered aid,
A Knight opposing Night.
His touch loosened Night's grip on my skin
His breath blew away Night's palm
And the Knight gazed into my eyes.
His fingers lightly touched my face, caressing my skin.
His hands and arms of bronze drew me tighter.
My chin tilts upward and his lips lightly kiss my lips and
His hands reached passed my bosom,
Into my soul, and elluminated my dwindling light.
Night ran and hid, trying to escape
The result of the metamorphasis,
Seeking a corner to impose.
Fear instilled in nights shapeless form,
Coward.
Hand in hand,
We elluminate Night,
Destroy the darkness that is no more.
Love and temporary peace enstill in our hearts
As we began again.
