The Knight in Shiny Armor

(poems go here) am drowning in My thoughts Spinning my own penetance The light blazes into a daze Why will no one reach for me? I am right here! Just someone please Do not leave me alone.... The darkness is suffocating, The weights are crushing, maybe my knight will never come maybe my knight has gone Maybe no one will hear... But when the light breaks through, When I can feel the wind I can see more than sky, I see the losened bind I can breath again, and grasp the hand tight. I almost cling, feeling vulnerable, exposed. But it's okay, my knight says, because he will be strong for both of us. I blindly trust, maybe I am a fool, but a happy fool! I don't have to be strong alone anymore. My thoughts are at peace at last, they don't sear and twist they weep and rest At last, there is no voice in my head telling me it is all too good for me. This penetance I have carried on my shoulders, these scars I have stacked I do not have to hide them. I can stand proud, I am not alone anymore, and for once... I know my own words are true.
