Knights Companion

I am next to you as we journey far Resting at your side Dreaming of ones next use Snoring at each step. I am awakened at your grip I scream as I'm released Shining light wether day or night Whispering as wind passes my edge Newly cleaned for next use Not stained nor rusted by red I sigh as I am put to sleep Back to my warm sheath Dreaming of this day to repeat Of a day where I don't sleep
