Knocked Down

I was scared and unsure to love again

He took me by the hand

He showed me a world I didn't know

I let him and grasped his palm firmly

He told me all his secrets

He gave me his whole world

I took it for granted

He became a different man

He said he never changed

I saw it in his eyes

He lost the stars that once shined

He said it was over

I would have never thought I was the one to to knock him down
