Know Me

I am trying and trying,

Buried in books,

Choked by flashcards,

I am trying to appease you.

But you are nothing more

Than a hungry beast,

Asking and demanding more,

There is always more than you want from me.

And sometimes, I want to explode into

A million pieces,

Because you are not listening,

You believe you know best for me,

But do you even know me?
