Know Me

They know me by my anger, not by my heart

They know me by my pain, not by my soul

They know me oh so well they shatter my essence from the inside out

Not giving a damn about the destruction they’ve caused upon me

I guess it was never meant to be

Why couldn’t I see you for the beast that you are

I wanted you oh so badly to be my knight in shining armor

In the end you became memories that I wish never existed

I wish I could leave you in dust and forget your very existence

Because did I ever even really know you or was it all a fairytale?
