To Know a Poem

To tell what I leanerd from a poem,

I wonder, Do you know them?

Writing to bring a lightness to the dark,

A flicker of pen to paper brings the spark,

Once a time with sadness beyond all pain,

Days spent in thoughts insane,

But there was hope begun a new,

Full of words writing askew,

A notebook filled with words to brim,

Brought on once again a sincere grin,

For Everytime a feeling negative begins to rise,

I add a line to a new reprise,

If there is one thing to learn in a poem,

Its that words can heal if you simply show them.
