To Know You More
Philippians 3:8~"Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ."
Lord, to know you more is my greatest desire.
Not any wealth, applause, nor fleeting moments of gain, but only you Lord.
You are my treasure beyond compare and even in loss, I gain everything in you.
So let my life be a constant pursuit: to know you and to make you known and to know you deeper.
Lord, teach me to seek you in the quiet, to hear your voice above the noise, to love you more than the comforts of this world.
When trials come, Lord, let me lean on your strength and not my own.
When blessings overflow, Lord, let me never forget that your working all things out for my good.
When doubts creep in, Lord, remind me that your truth never changes and never fails and won't start now.
For to know you is to find life, to walk with you is to discover freedom you won for me on the cross.
So here I am, my heart open, my hands lifted high, my soul declaring only one thing: Lord, to know you more and more in my life always and forevermore.
Amen!
