KNOW YOUR WORTH

You're too precious to be known as "that girl", Too pretty to be throwing yourself on random guys, Too pure to be playing with dirt, And too good to be hanging around dead weight people. Know your worth. You're tired of feeling WORTHLESS. For once in your life you wanna feel WORTH IT. You just don't know where to begin… Or even how. Because the only vow, you've made is at the club. Where its spinning strobe lights and party nights, Club hopping by keeping your booty poppin' & droppin'. And there aint no stoppin', stoppin', stoppin', STOP IT… JUST STOP! Once upon a time, You weren't considered a "dime". You were just daddy's Cinderella. His princess. Yet now all you're searching for, are princes. Daddy's little girl. Is now exploring the world. Passing the time, With dirty thoughts running through your mind. It's fun, the adrenaline rush, you can't seem to get enough, Everything seems so sweet, so pleasurable.. so… so… FULL OF IT. Cinderella. You grew up scrubbing and scrubbing, Scrubbing the dirt off the floor, Now tell me why are at the club, You won't find love, You need to turn up that TLC, because you deserve more than a bunch of scrubs. Get that dirt off your shoulder, brush it off, whatever the cost. Just please Cinderella, please, don't let him take your clothes off. Because once you do, you'll be treated rude, And just another joke amongst him and his crew, It sucks. Because you're limiting yourself. Even in your room you're constantly on Facebook and scrolling through Tumblr, While eating Nutella Oh Cinderella, what is wrong with you? You used to say,"Another day, another dollar." But now people laugh because its,"Another day, another holler." At you. And it sucks. You had your priorities, they were set, Now you don't even know whats next. Better yet, who's next. You Only Live Once, YOLO - that's your new motto, And popping bottles is the path that you're trying follow. Addicted to blowing, money. And dresses that are glistening. You hear me, but you're not listening, Cinderella you're smarter than that! I wish you could see a few years into the future. Still partying your life away, never ever fully satisfied. But… you've never been fully satisfied from the beginning. Cinderella, you craved those quick fixes, Before taking responsibility for any consequences. Now just like the leaves falling in autumn, You started to hit rock bottom, The thoughts you were thinking. The drinks you were drinking, Finally started to pile up, and you.. slowly started sinking. It sucks, because you finally realize after the sex, The what came next? Cinderella, winning doesn't come from sinning. Real satisfaction never comes from just getting some action. But you had to learn that… the hard way. Tell me, what are you gonna tell your kids when you finally settle down, Would you be proud to say that you were once VIP, the shining star.. At Zanzabar. Those dance moves can't possibly be practice for your wedding. If you even have one. Because while you were out having fun, It came at a cost. You became a baby momma from a one night stand, Probably from a guy you can't stand. Wait, which guy was it? What night was it? You're confused. Feeling like your body was just a tool used by countless other dudes. Your life is now flashing through your eyes, Pregnant before finishing college. Now where is he? Where's his commitment? Its different, His heart isn't in it, It never was. This is truly something tragic, What happened to the magic. Facing this rain, BY YOURSELF. Embracing this pain, BY YOURSELF. This is not how you pictured your "Happily Ever After", So Cinderella, the question is - How are you going to finish this chapter?

I liked how you integrated the concepts of a novel and time. The Cinderella touch was great in giving the story more force because Cinderella had ideals and you used them to convey the changing messages of the story. Were you trying to just incorporate the feeling of a Disney movie? Like how in every Disney movie the main character learns an important lesson by the end of the movie? The sudden re-directions in some lines to convey an opposing ideal was also a nice touch that added more color to the overall picture you were painting. Overall it was a nice poem and I hope that you just have a good imagination and haven't experienced this for yourself.
