Know Your Worth

Dear Younger Self,

What were you thinking when you gave him your number?

I don't know I didn't think I could get any dumber!

Not once did he look in your beautiful eyes!

He was more interested in your breast and  inner thighs

He told you lies you've heard before

But you ignored the lies and allowed him through your door

You gave him your heart, soul and virginity

In return he gave the relationship absolutely no energy

He lied, cheated and humiliated you

But your self-esteem was so low you thought that's what guys do

Stop accepting mediocracy

Look in the mirror and embrace the Queen you were meant to be

He will not change, this is true

But it's time to create a brand new you

Stop the cycle girl this has to end

No more depending and placing your worth in men

                                                                                                      Respectfully,

                                                                                                       Abbey Cole
