The Knowing
In the depths of all eternity I question, what if we could create a perfect world? What if regrets didn't stay creeping inside those bottomless minds. If no one knew of the mistakes but only the wins in life. Embarrassment was just a word and not a feeling. The intense urge to point out anothers' imperfections to get the spotlight off ones self left no one satisfied. Long lasting Friendships and Relationships were easy to find and heartbreak and sorrow were so rare the mere mention of such events brought up a state wide stir. No one got left alone when they needed the ones they thought loved them the most, the most. Tears only sprouted from the blissful moments of life. And Love. Love stayed with every human-being in their heart regardless of location or people. Happiness was not just a thing yearned for by all but obtained and kept safe and untouched like a new-found rainbow in ones soul. Death didn't leave all hearts empty to never get filled again and lives didn't get uncherished or unrevered until gone. Every second was seen as a blessing and lived as one as well. War was not the only solution between disputing countries. And a faithful army wife did not get widowed every day. If the loneliness every human on this planet has met didn't remain in them but rather the joy that exists overflowed so many hearts a smile was everyone's “normal” face and the most common face to see throughout the days of life. Neglect was never used in human vocabulary and abuse couldn't even be pronounced by anyone because it had never occurred. If children never had to be the parents while barely starting their own childhood. Tender, Love, and Care sat within every household. And Pain only came from tiny accidents like a fall and not cancer or any other diseases. Adults and kids did not go wandering streets wondering where their next meal will come from and where might they sleep tonight. Hypothermia and Hyperthermia did not encase the homeless. The women and men of tomorrow decided not to drown their past and unknown future in the toxic bottles of alcohol or illegal drugs. The mothers and fathers of the next generation did not continually get molested and raped by their fathers or mothers only to repeat the cycle. All the outcast and loners did not find refugee in the blood shed from their scared wrist. If everyone could stop and walk, even for just a day, in the shoes of another. If everyone felt the pain of the world so we could stop the pain of the world. Hmmm.... If only.
