Knowing Love

“Hey baby. You look so fine.”

He had no intentions to be with her. He had lied.

“I love you baby, because you’re mine.”

It would of been less painful if she would have died.

When he left bruises on her body his heart didn’t skip a beat.

“It was an accident, baby. You know I still love you.”

This wasn’t a mistake, she was always feeling incomplete.

Then when she discovered God, she was became brand new.

She depreciates “you look so fine” now that she knows her worth.

Bounded to this man by money, she endured the neglect for too long.

Taking off the mask of lies, as she faced the harsh reality on earth.

The struggle she overcame made her become more strong.

He said she was “so fine” and she mistook it for love, when all along it was lust.

Her journey led her to truth, as she found God, who is love, and the father of Jesus.

Giani

I am the middle child of my four siblings. Something I find interesting is that my highschool graduation year was in ‘17, the last four digits of my highschool id card were 1819, and I am in the class of 2021 at Michigan State University. A quote I live to is by Martha Washington as she saids “I've learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions and not on our circumstances.” I get most of my inspiration from “the Holy Bible” and “1001 Ways to Celebrate America.”
