Kostbare Retter

Here I sit, here I stand
In this dry and barren land
Searching, longing, hoping
Reaching, trying, groping
For my Saviour's precious Hand
My eyes do look and linger
As my out-stretched, shaking finger
Wants to feel my Precious Savior
Yet I turn my heart and waver
Mute His Voice with song and singer
Oh the blinding lies of sin
Are nestled deep outside and in
God would purge the infestation
If in repentance I would bade Him
My heart desires He would win
Oh my God please change this song
That I may sing it all life long
Change it to a hymn of praise
That I may sing it all my days
Sing forgiven, freed of wrong

"God is my motivation. He coaxed my bones into order, arranged my head of hair, designed by thought-processes into a delightful maze. He surrounds my life - like adorning a bare tree - with smiling souls." - ACS
