K.R.

And it crept over her brain

Like moss, growing all year ‘round

She never had the courage to cut her hair

So no one ever knew it was there

All of them are a little upset

All of them are drinking in flower beds

Minds are misplaced one by one but one for all

Like a child accidentally tapping a domino

Your eyes, naked and empty with pain

It’s our last chance for it all to Come Together

Slipping through y(our) fingers

I wish she hadn’t burned you and left you stinging

I wish she hadn’t yelled and left your ears ringing

And I wish you weren’t wandering ‘round empty rooms

Smiling and muttering to yourself in the choir room

(when are visiting hours?)

I’m thinking of all I’m going to have left

Someone messed up the table just as it was set

But you, in all your perfection, somehow just shielded your eyes
