Kyle Was Love

Kyle was love.
When my heart was shattered into a million pieces,
Kyle mended each broken fragment.
When my mind grew incapable of functioning,
Kyle thought for me.
When my feet grew weary,
Kyle walked for me.
Kyle was love.
However, was is past tense my friend.
People change.
Life changes.
Kyle changed.
When my heart was shattered into a million pieces,
Kyle was the reason.
When my mind grew incapable of functioning,
Kyle left me to fend for myself.
When my feet grew wear,
Kyle walked away from me.
Kyle is not love.
He was love.
