L & L

L2,

It  was not until this year you really hit me

I was always busy so I was able to dodge your punches but…

This year I have had more time

More time to lay in bed and think

To stress over what my future holds

To think of that person who makes me smile when I catch a glimpse of her

I guess you were always around really

Lurking in the shadows, waiting to attack at my most vulnerable moment

Now you’ve got a good grip on me and I don’t want you to let go

I want to succumb to your familiar embrace

Because you have always been there for me even if it was not in the most positive way

Love and Loneliness

I nestle further into you

I see no reason to keep fighting when you’ll always be waiting

Sincerely,

g
