La-la land

Proverbs 12:26 New English Translation (NET Bible)

26 The righteous person is cautious in his friendship,
but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Monsieur Le Colonel

I just came from La-la land ... where I visited my twin brother

He is quite a card you know ... he and I are just alike

We formed a sincere band and are bound to each other

Where I am he goes ... hand in hand with this little tike

I like him to be with me when I am all alone

When others are present I feel kind of ashamed

Together we are fancy free, he’s almost like a clone

Inviting others into the tent in this circus without name

Why do I like other’s company, why ask them in?

Alone with my brother’s twin I am really content

With others a noisy symphony where all appears dim

Now I dream of where I’ve been with me and my friend
