La Lucha De Mi Familia

The color of intensity

Running through our veins

Deep beneath the surface

The emotion sill remains

Passion is emerging

Burning fire you can’t hide

Roses begin to blossom

Like the calmness deep inside

Bold, confident, strong

Yet the struggle is not abating

Emotions more intense

Than the comments they are making

Intimidation runs wild

As the energy travels beyond

Flamenco dancers stomping

As the culture lives on

Confidence, authority, unity

Often left unsaid

This is my culture

And my color is red
