La Luna

she landed on the moon.

a garden of stardust,

moonlight in her hair.

she thought about how many other people had been there before her,

and how many might be after.

she didn't care,

on the dusty surface of the moon.

she just knew she wanted to stay there,

in the garden of stardust,

for as long as her heart and soul would let her,

before gravity brought her back down to earth again.

To be clear, and give credit where credit is due:
I was greatly inspired by the music of August John Enrique, and his classical song "Garden of Stardust" from his album Landed on La Luna.

Give it a listen if you're interested, it's a truly beautiful track.
