I don't have a label
Whenever my school sends home forms to be filled
There's always one section asking for my enthicity
Okay, simple enough, I'm Hispanic
My paternal grandparents were Mexican immigrants
I'm a Latina through and through
But wait, my mother's family is whiter than snowflakes!
So... now what?

What am I?
I am the daughter of Vikings
Conqustadors
English kings
Nahuatl warriors
German farmers
Swedish monarchs
Men and women who ruled
traveled
laughed
cried
lived

I am a product of everyone I meet
I am utterly alone
I don't have a label

I love it
