The Labels Among Us
The Labels Among Us
Labels put us down
whether we are gay or straight
we all have Labels
That girl is a whore
because she has an infant
that is all they see
If only they knew
that she did not have a choice
after being raped
She is always scared
afraid he is still lurking
around the corner
Then there is this slut
who was taped having hot sex
with a group of guys
But people don't know
they all gave her alcohol
and defiled her
You don't even know
that she never wanted this
and will never know
Then there is this guy
you think he is a faggot
and spit right on him
You don't know his pain
or the rejection he feels
from you and from home
He lives by himself
on the streets or in a car
maybe with a friend
Because he's ashamed
and has no family left
who cares about him
If I could change this
the world would understand them
instead of hurt them
Spit becomes a hug
rude names turn into nice words
and frowns become smiles
He can go back home
those drinks never got to her
and there was no rape
If I could change this
all the labels would be gone
and stereotype
We are all people
we all fight togerher, and
Uniter we stand.
