Labels Are For Boxes

Definition

A box we use to make ourselves feel comfortable

everything we know is put into a tightly sealed box with a ribbon around it,

to understand, 

because if we cannot understand, it is a threat

definitions are boxes,

we are not definable

our actions do not define us,

our mistakes are simply just that, mistakes

I don’t know who I am,

how can anyone else?

Words are the only things that truly need defining, 

and even then,

it’s not a full proof plan.

People are afraid of the unknown.

We have to logically be able solve issues and people,

we make up logic, therefore further disgracing the definition.

My past does not define me,

nor my future.

I may be stubborn, sarcastic, and cynical,

but I am also kind, loving, and overly attached when I care.

I love too much and I am way too emotional.

Ask me on a bad day and I will tell you I suck and am horrible,

then ask me the next and I’m perfection.

I don’t fit into a box. 

These words do not define me.

I cannot be defined.

So the world will remain uncomfortable,

because I refuse to take on a label.
