The Labyrinth
The walls of our labyrinths
Have all grown sky-high
It’s difficult to determine
The truth from a lie
We’re obsessed with being “good enough”
Failure is our biggest fear
But comparison is the thief of joy
Don’t always listen to what you hear
Popularity, wealth, and success
Are all temporary and don’t matter
What is good or what feels good?
Don’t choose the latter
After being tangled
In such a mess for so long
It makes it harder to realize
Society is morally wrong
You should not anticipate losing
Do not be scared of defeat
The opportunities are endless
But you must rise to your feet
Don’t say adversity won’t arise
Because truthfully, it might
Are you better off going left?
Or should you turn right?
Don’t let the labyrinth defeat you
You are so much more, so much greater
Perception is reality
You will understand later
We are all lost in the labyrinth of life
Trying to figure out who we are
But life is about creating yourself
If you remember this, you will go far
