Into the Labyrinth

You'd think the future is supposed to be exciting

What's so exciting about the May before mayhem

No more memorable memories of juvenile days,

It's sweltering summer days sitting here doing scholarships

What purpose have poems given me?

Possibly a way out of this small, suffocating town.

Can't find success here,

Can't someone help?

Well, I suppose it's all up to me.

Into the Labrinth

Later and later in the day in May

Might lose my head in the company of everyone around me

Maybe my purpose in poems will give me solace.
