Labyrinth

I have created my labyrinth
a maze of trodden down paths
that I have followed
time after time
forever
always trying to find
the way out
but never trying something new
I have created my labyrinth
you are just a notch
in the crazy
crowded
maze
so don't feel bad
don't feel to blame
I promise
I was lost
way before you showed up
and way before you left
it almost feels as though
if I saw a glimmering sign
of escape
I would be too afraid to take it
because I have gotten so used
to wandering without aim
