Laced.

Fuse is short, just a spark,
Flakes of gold, straight to rust,
Washing skeletons down the drain,
Water dries like blood.

Same old strings bring beauty with time,
Sidewalks paved with joy,
A glorious fight too planned out to lose,
On the corpse of a nine-year-old boy.

Evolution, reels of tape,
Crime scene, murder, mortality rate,
Maggots devoured, a delicacy,
Sad as it is, it's happy for me.
