Lack Of Understanding

There's a level of professional behavior required in your line of work

The casaul way you accuse students of being a 'dork'

is far from pleasing

and the way you handle my news about leaving

Sue me, I dropped a class

That doesn't give you the right to be an ass.

"I just think that if you're going to take a class, stay in and don't quit."

I'm sorry, I didn't ask you, I don't give a shit!

Would you rather I sacrafice my well being instead?

My hair falls out thinking of lo, la, las, los, and frickin' usted!

The stress breaks me down

And the weekends are a dark cloud

dedicated hours to perfecting imperfects

So I won't be perfect

I'm not playing this game of invalidation

Your students won't except the degradation

You have a lack of understanding

You watched a girl on the floor; her choice place of landing

Her abuser tried to find her

she wanted to sit in the back to work on her binder

Forcing her to sit in the front of class where all could see her cry

I'm sure all the stares made her want to die

You have a severe lack of sympathy

How do you carry yourself with dignity?

You break your student and don't even care

You preach false ideas of fair

You have a lack of understanding
