Lacking

Lying awake in pessimism perhaps actually realism
These thoughts and perceived truths race to the pit of my existence
Anguish for today and worry for tomorrow and the next
Are fears titled as lack of fulfillment that show no resistance.

Dreaming of fulfillment that should still exist and thrive
Questioning the disappearance and the exactitude of why
Pondering the truth and reasons with a sorrowful weary mind
At a point of desperation in life where anything is worth a try

Forgetting about the worry only gets so far most of the time
Optimism fails when such a deep impacting life aspect is slacking
Time slows just enough to remember and the reality is inevitable
Tears follow the pain of anguish over an aspect so greatly lacking.
