The Lady I Called Mom

Sad, down and defeated.

The love we had never completed.

Our memories are erased

I think it was just a phase.

My love, my heart..broken.

My thoughts were never fully spoken.

The days we had, I tried to treasure,

And try I did, through every measure.

How were you when I left you ?

My "mom", when I never fully met you ?

I loved you although that love felt like nothing.

To you,

I thought I was really something.

You hide when I'm trying to find,

The real lady that birthed me.

But then again why would you hurt me ?

Your words that brought tears,

To make me forever insecure for the upcoming years.

Now why would you want that ?

You were never really there,

Let's just face the facts.

But I'll let you be….

I'll find a better life even if it isn't with you and me.

And guess what ?

I have a mom.

She's bigger,better and strong.

And yes, although I have done wrong

She should've been…

The Lady that I called Mom.
