Lady In Red

Lady In Red

On a late afternoon sits the lady in red

She sits in her chair before she makes bed

Her wisdom shows with her body so worn

But do not pity, for her mind is not torn

She sits there with grace in her gown so red

She sits there with grace with her past so red

The things she has seen shows with her time

But still she sits there with a face so kind

She lives in a house all by herself

The world moves on while she is placed on a shelf

On a late afternoon sits the lady in red

She sits in her chair before she makes bed
