She's not doing well and she's asked me to be there

You can handle everything at the store, right dear?

Sure mom, no problem and I'll come as soon as we close

Don't worry, it might not be today, God only knows.

How are things going, I'm just taking lunch

Not the best, it will be soon, I just have a hunch

I think you should call her and tell her goodbye

No not yet, after work, I'm too busy to cry

Sorry I missed yoru call, things here have been crazy

Good news! She seems better, though just a bit hazy

Your sister just called, the kids said they love her

Uncle Clint also rang to say goodbye to his mother

Work is almost over, do you think it can wait?

Sure hun, if you want, just don't be too late

I'll pick up a card since her birthday's tomorrow

Then I'll finally say goodbye and face that sorrow

I'm made it, I'm here! Oh, I see there is cake left!

Oh, hun, I'm so sorry. She just took her last breath.
