The Lake

Rough River is my happy place It is my place to relax My place to think The roads are long And lined with trees and dirt It smells awful at times And it takes forever to get from place to place But when you finally reach your destination And you step into the water Or sit next to the fire at night And stare at the beautiful stars You forget the stress of your life You forget the past and don’t plan the future You focus on the here and the now Rough River is my happy place It is my place to relax My place to think
