By the Lake

The air here tastes

Like honey and lime

A single welcomed hand

Made itself a home

On her cheek

The color of rain drops

And roses

They lay each other down

By the lake known

For miracles

They kiss so gently

Sinking into each other

Feeling no water

On their lips

Farther down they go

With no wish

To return to land

While others do

Make their way up

Sptting disputes

Like posion frogs

Tainting an abstract sun

They claim has no holding

Without a hand to hold

Only a hand

To wave goodbye

The rest lay on rotting grass

Coughing up water

Cursing themselves,

God,

and most importantly,

The one who used

To matter most

It is those ones

Who bring great sadness

Knowing they

Will be here

Forever

Behind black and

White glass

Watching dimly lit

Sunsets

A colorless season

Of those

Who loved, lost

Tried again

Alone

Ever Observing
