The Lake Of Dreams

Whistling winds of joyous memories,

Bringing along with it the

Scented airs of harmony, of vitality,

Tickled my senses in a savory delight.

Across the waters, the watchful waters,

Sat plains of mirroring, gentle waves.

Quite a reflective sight, intensely bright

With the shining of natural life.

Aspirations, crushed by cement and brick,

Can be soaked in these waters, to be

Renewed once again.

This lake of hope, this wonder of nature,

Godly in essence, and purest in form.

Taken for granted, it complains not.

A sanctum of peace and tranquil

For all those whom seek it.

This mesmerizing lake,

The mere sight somniferous.

So calming and rejuvenating,

Yet so passively ignored.

To be loved and lived in by few,

So as not to be dried or abused,

This lake remains watching,

Illuminating the path of dreams.
