Lake Michigan

Water’s soft caress along Chicago’s slender waist
Rustling winds ignite daydreams
Your sweet beach grass,
Your white whispering sands,
Deep blue water extending forth
Give me a new start
Wash my sins away
The dazzling tips of your crumpled blue crests,
Swelling in slow pulsating rhythms
An undulating canvas of greatness
