The Lake Night

I go back to that day when we first went to the lake.

It was super late and you had picked me up and took me on a date.

You let me drink, since I always took care of you.

We sat on the edge of the lake and just related our days.

It was kind of cold so you gave me your dad'sjacket.

We sat there and just talked,

We are always able to do that.

Sit there and talk about everything above and below the stars.

I just miss that night.
