Lament of a Beast

If this is the way it will be,

Let me start over again;

This isn't the way it should be,

Cursed to hide here from all men.

Come back, I'll play nice--

What did you want?

Don't have to ask twice,

Or proclaim larger font.

But what idiot am I to let you beat me,

What fool to let a vixen cheat me;

You deserved nothing, yet when I denied your stay,

You, old hag, took everything away.
