Land of Dreams

When the day grows old And the evening short, He will find me at midnight, Taking me with him, my shining knight. He will carry me away into fields unknown, Into a world were my imagination takes the throne. Upon a carpet of dreams, And a sky full of starlight, He will take me to my sacred sight, So I may create new worlds, New lands for us to roam in, A new time, new visage, A place to go beyond ones own image. Becoming king and queen of joyous fields, Animals of a land of wonder, Or living a plain thought in ones own head. My knight saves me every evening, Whisks me away to this place that is supreme, The places outside of a painful reality, And into the lands of my dream.
