Land of things

Proverbs 20:11 New English Translation (NET Bible)

11 Even a young man is known by his actions,
whether his activity is pure and whether it is right.

Blindness

In the land of the blind “One eye” is king.

In the space of the deaf many seem wise

In the realm of the heart sensitivity clings

to the reborn and the delivered in Christ.

In this very place, people seem in a daze

Ready to follow without any direction.

There are many kings in this land of things,

where fear keeps blindness in subjection.

People in love with money and such

are united in hunger for power and greed

Unions of the blind choose leaders of mush

who’ll join the ranks later of that very breed?
