The Landscape of Heaven

Heaven is to me a garden. As I reach down into the depth of my childhood past, I grope for any memories of favorite fairy tales. Heaven is an enchanted forest from one of these magical tales – filled with innocence and purity. Pearl gates – not golden – bear the entrance to paradise as a symbol of the purity that dwells within. As I step inside the breathtaking entryway, a corridor lined with plum-colored roses guides all in one direction. The path is no longer narrow for those who have passed the test of devotion and faithfulness to the one true God – it is easy to trek and feels safe to those who move about the grounds. This passage is gently lit by a soft golden glow from a source known only to those who frequent the level floors of Heaven. A vibrant sunset paints the clouds – the foundation for the Kingdom – as the sun radiates golden-red from behind the throne of the Eternal King.
