Larry

Larry,

That was his name.

Pale skin.

Bright blue eyes.

Just lying there, trying to survive.

The look in his eyes was trying to tell me

To never remember him this way.

To only remember

the good days we shared.

Hopeless he lay.

Medicine to take away the pain.

In a moment, he will be gone.

But for now,

Still struggling for life.
