Las Ganas

1.For hundreds of years we have been treated differently

2.Recently, it seems that hasn’t changed

3.Awareness is low

4.Fear of the unknown is high

5.Statistics don’t lie

6.Despondent is what we are

7. We are not from Mars

8. Our cultures are different

9. But our hearts are the same

10. We should be vigilant in what we say

11. one happy word can make their day

12.In this world we can only pray

13. That others understand

14. The daily struggle

15. In America,

16. There are sweet 16’s

17.In Mexico,

18. There are quinceaneras

19.In America,

20. There are hamburgers

21.In Mexico,

22. There are tacos

23.In America,

24. The dream is equal opportunity and freedom

25.In Mexico,

26. The reality is unfairness and  pain

27.so please do not be afraid to refrain

28. From rude comments and mean words

29. Regarding our differences

30. Your life is not something to be tossed aside

31. In yourself you must have pride

32. If you fail

33.just know you tried

34. Sana sana colita de rana

35.Tu sabes que le echastes las ganas
