The last 3 years

Freshman year of highschool I sat in Geometry class.

I was nervous, but you were there,

I could feel your stare.

I thought that I was nobody.

To you I must have been everyone,

you asked me out and we had fun.

Now three years later I sit full of emotion.

I watch you nervously cross the stage,

I notice how much we have aged.

I have a sudden realization.

That will be me in a years time,

I have learned so much in my short lifetime.

Now it is my senior year.

You will sit patiently,

I will cross the stage gracefully.

And we have both now grown.

Our paths seem to go in the same direction,

we have a strong connection.
