All is calm from where I stand
Purple and pink flowers sway in the breeze.
What should be a good time is no longer.
Those flowers were destroyed by tanks,
as was my faith.
My land no longer exists.
It's their land now, where my last breath was taken.
I open my eyes and the land I dream of is gone.
Chaos and destruction replaces it,
this is the real world I see before me.
I take another breath and think, to think of what I could do today to help.
Help bring back that world I dream of.
Should I give another speech about world peace, or just sit and pray for it all to go away.
I begin to drift off to my world of Tibet,
and hopefully take another breath.
