Last Breaths of Humanity

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Repeat.

Inhale.

Exhale.

In...

Why can I not fill my lungs with lushes air?

Why are the lights darkening?

Why is it when I look out I only see black.

My heart...

Why is it not beating?

Tears...

I sought to find my tears of light but feel nothing,

As if my body purified within the hands of the lord.

I yell out...

I am not ready to die but ready to live,

Ready to breath.

Ready to look upon the ones I love once more.

But I can't anymore.

All I have left is to watch over and keep them safe.

My family safe, the ones I care about most.

But I can not bare to see them live while I stay dead.

I cannot bare to see them move on.

To live on as if I was not a person who was alive.

God please do not bring death to me.

If you do let me be in peace,

And not to watch over them,

But be in their hearts...

All I ask is let me rest in peace,

Alone,

Thank you.
